Some Background on Play Study Win...

Play Study Win was a natural outgrowth of the more than 10 years that Metro Soccer NY had been providing programming to NYC's underserved communities Our junior program has provided school-based soccer programs in more than 500 public schools since 1995, coaching over 13,000 children. In the last school year we ran extensive programs in over 75 New York City Public Schools. We also ran week-long summer soccer clinics in another 20 public schools.

We have also worked with the Sports & Arts in Schools Foundation (SASF) in organizing the soccer element for the Chase Sports & Arts in Schools Festivals since 1998 and have run programs for DoE District 31, NYC Parks and Recreation Dept., The After-School Corporation, the Institute for Community Living, Bushwick-Ridgewood Senior Citizens Center, Mosholu-Montefiore and many other Community-based organizations. We have excellent relationships with Red Bull NY, MLS Soccer & ENYYSA.

We are the official soccer organization for the Sports & Arts in Schools Foundation’s Sports Training Institute; The After School Corporation’s Health & Fitness Initiative and the NYC Dept. of Education’s CHAMPS program. Our top-quality coaching and officiating staff has hundreds of hours of experience at providing the highest levels of instruction. Together with Eastern NY Youth Soccer, MetroSoccer NY has trained over 250 coaches in nationally recognized coaching certificates.

We were also been retained by NY State Department of Parks & Recreation to run their travel soccer program at Riverbank State Park.

In the Fall of 2008 the Metro Soccer NY junior program was renamed “Play Study Win. Inc.” This change reflected the expanded number of sports we offered and the importance of academic content in our curriculum. We have been granted tax-exempt 501c3 status.
