Al Ihsan Academy students were grateful to have been invited to Gracie Mansion for the New York City Junior Ambassador culminating event for 2023. The students presented their project and spoke of their actions to combat climate change one on one with none other than the United States Ambassador Linda Thomas Greenfield. They also had the opportunity to “rub elbows” with ambassadors from other countries - Bangladesh, Turkey and Ghana.
Our esteemed host Mayor Eric Adams held a town hall style meeting with all the students motivating them for their next chapter. The meeting ended with the Mayor and the audience singing along to “Empire State of Mind'' by Alicia Keys and Jay-Z . We were then treated with a delicious vegan lunch fit for VIPs! #DYCD
